{"id":4733,"date":"2023-10-11T05:53:20","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T05:53:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/centredart.in\/?post_type=project&#038;p=4733"},"modified":"2024-02-14T09:50:07","modified_gmt":"2024-02-14T09:50:07","slug":"search-for-the-heart-of-flowers","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/centredart.in\/fr\/project\/search-for-the-heart-of-flowers\/","title":{"rendered":"search for the heart of flowers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Valeria raso Matsumoto <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From 13 to 21 October 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monday to Saturday 10am-12pm &amp; 2-5.30pm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Opening Friday 13 October at 4pm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"647\" src=\"http:\/\/centredart.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Image-for-website-1024x647.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4734\" srcset=\"http:\/\/centredart.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Image-for-website-980x619.jpg 980w, http:\/\/centredart.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Image-for-website-480x303.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ikebana is the Japanese Art of Flower Arrangement.<br>It is a disciplined art form where the arrangement is a living thing in which nature and humanity are brought together.<br>It is steeped in the philosophy of developing a deep connection with nature.<br>In the most traditional school of Ikebana, the three main elements of the composition are said to represent Heaven, Humanity and the Earth.<br>In Ikebana, empty space plays an essential part of any arrangement.<br>The elements, placed asymmetrically, are given emphasis by the empty spaces.<br>Thus, the totality of a well-done arrangement brings about a state of serenity and peace to the viewer.<br>Born around the 6th AD in Japan as a religious offering at Buddhist temples, Ikebana slowly became popular among the aristocracy and the samurai class.<br>To reach a state of peace of mind and a state of concentration before going to battle, some samurai would perform both Ikebana and Tea Ceremony to purify their heart and mind.<br>By the 16th century, Ikebana had become a Zen practice.<br>One becomes quiet when practicing Ikebana.<br>One becomes more patient and tolerant of differences.<br>The ephemeral side of Ikebana helps us to not become attached to the material creation, but rather to love and respect it in the real moment of its existence.<br>Together with some flowers, leaves, a vase and our inner being, we achieve silence and harmony between Nature and ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the artist<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Valeria Raso Matsumoto was born in Sicily, Italy.&nbsp;<br>Graduated in Psychology at the University of Padua.&nbsp;<br>She has sailed around the world for 8 years with her husband Kenji Matsumoto.
