Centre d’Art, Citadines Auroville Artist Residency 2021 recipient Harsha Durugadda is a multidisciplinary artist working on sculpture and performance art. He is the winner of the Rio Tinto Sculpture Award 2017 at Sculpture by the Sea, Australia. Durugadda’s sculptures have been exhibited internationally at Nord Art in Germany, Emergent Art Space in the United States, London and Australia. In 2014 he was invited by the Courtauld Institute of Art to present on Ancient Buddhist Sculpture at the British Museum, London. He has received the Andrew Stretton Memorial invitation in 2016 at Sydney.
Centre d’Art residency is an opportunity for artistic exchange and experimentation, focusing on process-based and artist-led research. Centre d’Art encourages artists to pursue new research and widen their networks to support the development of their practice.
